Digital signage for restaurants and cafés.
Menu boards, specials and order-ready screens that update themselves on a schedule, from any browser.
What digital signage does for restaurants
Menus that change on their own
Breakfast until 11, lunch after, happy hour on Fridays. Schedule it once by day and time, and the right menu shows itself.
Update prices and specials without reprinting anything
Swap a special, fix a typo, or run a limited-time promotion from your phone. It's live on every screen in the location within seconds.
One layout, multiple zones
Menu on one side, a promo video or your Instagram feed on the other, a rotating specials board underneath: all on one screen.
Keeps running if the internet blips
The player caches what it needs. A brief connection drop in a busy kitchen doesn't blank the board.
Built for restaurants of every kind
One screen or fifty, one site or many. The same account, layouts and schedules work for:
- Cafés and coffee shops
- Quick-service restaurants
- Pizzerias
- Bakeries
- Bars and pubs
- Food trucks and kiosks
- Juice and smoothie bars
- Multi-location chains and franchises
What restaurants actually put on screen
- Digital menu boards
- Items, prices and photos behind the counter, with breakfast, lunch and dinner versions that switch at the times you set.
- Daily specials and limited-time offers
- A soup of the day or a seasonal latte goes up in a minute and comes down automatically on the end date.
- Order-ready and queue boards
- A take-a-number kiosk and a live "now serving" number near pickup, so staff stop shouting names across the room.
- Promotions at the till
- Loyalty card, happy hour, catering, gift cards: the upsell your staff forget to mention, shown on a loop.
- Window displays
- Face a screen outward and run the menu, the opening hours and a promo loop for people walking past.
- Dining-room ambience
- A slow video loop, the weather, your social feed or local news in a zone next to the menu.
A typical day, scheduled once
Schedule rules run by day of week and time of day. Set them once and the screens switch on their own; nobody touches a remote.
- 06:00 – 11:00
Breakfast menu on the counter boards, a coffee promo in the window.
- 11:00 – 15:00
Lunch menu takes over on every board, specials board rotates the day's dishes.
- 15:00 – close
Dinner menu, happy hour on Fridays, and a "last orders" slide before closing.
How it works
Pair the TV
Install the free CastWize player on an Android TV, a Windows, Mac or Linux computer, or a Raspberry Pi connected to the TV. It shows a pairing code; enter it in Studio and the screen is online.
Build the content
Upload images and video, or build a slide on the canvas with text, webpages, live streams and widgets. Multi-zone layouts put a menu, a promo and a ticker on one screen.
Schedule and forget
Add slides to playlists, set day and time rules, group screens by location. Preview, publish, and every screen on that playlist updates within seconds.
Runs on the TVs you already have
There is no CastWize box to buy. Any TV with an HDMI input works, driven by a player you probably already own:
- Android TV or an Android box: the cheapest route for a wall-mounted TV; plugs into HDMI.
- Raspberry Pi 4 or 5: small, silent, low power, fine for a menu board that runs all day.
- Windows, macOS or Linux: an old laptop or mini PC behind the TV becomes a player.
- Keeps playing offline: the player caches its content, so a Wi-Fi blip doesn't blank the screen.
